01About these terms

These terms cover your use of this website (kybscout.com) and anything you send us through it. The site is run by [Registered company name], registered at [Registered office address] (company number [Company registration number]).

By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it. Paid work, pilots and subscriptions are governed by a separate signed agreement or order form, which takes priority over these terms if the two ever conflict.

02What this site is — and isn’t

The site describes KYB Scout, a research assistant that helps compliance analysts gather and structure information about merchants. It is information about a product, not advice.

• Nothing on this site is legal, regulatory, compliance or financial advice.
• KYB Scout does not approve, decline or score merchants. Your team remains responsible for every onboarding decision and for meeting its own regulatory obligations.
• Figures on the site, such as research time, describe results observed in internal use. They are not a promise of the results your team will see.

03Using the site

You agree not to:

• use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that could harm us or anyone else;
• try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems behind it;
• copy or scrape the site in a way that overloads it, or reverse engineer anything on it (search engines and AI crawlers that follow our robots.txt are welcome);
• pretend to be someone else when contacting us.

04Test cases and information you send us

If you send us a merchant URL or other material so we can prepare a test pack, you confirm that you are allowed to share it with us for that purpose.

• Send only what is needed to identify the merchant — please don’t include personal data you don’t need to.
• We use the material only to prepare and discuss that test pack, keep it confidential, and never use it to train a model.
• We delete it within [30 days] of delivering the pack, unless you ask us to keep it or we agree otherwise in writing.

05Intellectual property

The text, design, logo and code of this site belong to us or our licensors. You may view and share pages for your own business evaluation, but not copy or reuse them for anything else without our written permission.

Other companies’ names and products mentioned on the site belong to their owners. We mention them only to describe the market, and that does not mean they endorse us or we endorse them. Fonts and open-source code used on the site are listed, with their licences, in LICENSES.txt.

06Links to other sites

If the site links to a website we don’t run, we are not responsible for that site’s content or how it handles your information.

07No warranty

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it “as is”. We don’t promise that it will always be available, error-free, or that every description of the product will stay current — the product changes as we build it.

08Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of this site. Our total liability to you for use of the site is limited to [INR 10,000].

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud. Liability under a paid engagement is set by that engagement’s agreement, not by this section.
